A Gulet is a wooden motor sailing vessel, the modern version of the ancient cargo bearing craft which used to trade along the coast of Turkey. The original design has evolved into a comfortable cruising vessel and some have air conditioned accommodation for up to eighteen guests in self-contained double cabins. Since the time of King Mausolos Bodrum has been an important center for gulet building.Ptolemäus from Egypt had his warships made here in 300 BC.An eighteen meter Gulet can be built from scratch in eight to twelve months.

The cabins are comfortable and usually for two - inside the gulet or gullet, all of the cabins have enough storage room for your belongings.

Each cabin has a separate toilet with wash basin and shower providing modern facilities and privacy. The gulets offer enough space to the passengers in the cabins, in the aisles and on the deck.

Gulets are traditional boats of Southwest Turkey, gulets vary in length between 14 and 35 meters (52- 110 feet) hence varying passenger capacity.

In many ways a gulet is like a full service hotel where every room has a sea view and the scenery changes constantly.

The cabins of the crew are completely separated from those of the passengers. The crew consists of a captain, a cook and one or two deck hands who are all experienced in their work. Although the gulets are essentially motor yachts, it is possible to sail certain distances during a Blue Cruise. You can shape your cruise itinerary as you wish before booking. Usually the daily duration of cruising is not longer than 3-4 hours, and the rest of the day can be spent in a gorgeous cove enjoying the sun and the sea.
